The thing is that your body digest at a slow rate and the more food you pile up for your body to digest the more inefficient it is. Thus you tend to escape with a lot more calories than you usually would. Also if you ever want to snack on something try and think about it at the grocery store before you buy it. Pick an apple over pretzels and salad over fries. These are all small things but the calories add up until you find yourself gaining more weight than you can ever imagine. A tip that most people would not reiterate is that you need to constantly analyze what is going on and see how you can change it to make it more efficient. Maybe the first week you eat a healthy balanced meal but then you start to eat fast food the second week. Catch yourself and make sure to see how come you were that hungry that you had to get some fast good. Unless of course you just wanted to have fast food, in that case, you can find better food at a lower price too if you made it yourself. So again, look over what you are doing each week, month, year and see what you can change to make it better. It is all about the small steps!
