There are many contributing factors connected to obesity and disease that are frightening and staggering. Sadly the numbers are steadily rising in the worst possible sector of our population, our children. More than half of American children are overweight.
If we continue on this path our children will be the first generation in over a century to face a decrease in life expectancy. We could outlive our children. This is the reason why we have to think of obesity as of huge and serious disease and that’s why we have to take some action right now.
Added weight causes:
- The hearts to pump harder, contributing to heart disease, strokes, and high blood pressure;
- Has been linked to diabetes and certain types of cancer;
- Back, neck and joint problems;
- More than a quarter of a million deaths in the United States every year that linked to morbid obesity.
These deaths are tragic and oftentimes preventable. In most cases, the diseases related to obesity can be managed and even reversed with proper diet and exercise. It is crucial to maintain a healthy eating style and to have an exercise routine designed for your particular level and need.
The key is regulated portions of healthy foods, lots of water and moderate exercise combined with large amounts of patience. It is best to lose weight relatively slowly.
