It is the most abundant liquid on planet earth. But obviously we all know this. Over 75% of the planet is covered with ocean. But have you ever heard of the phrase “Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink”? This is partly a fact because less than 2% of the earth’s water is actually fresh and drinkable.
And by the way. Roughly 780 million people don’t have access to it. To drink anyway. So if you are one of the ones who do have access, use that to your advantage. Start drinking as soon as possible as it is very healthy for you. But keep moderation in mind. Too much can lead to over dilution of the blood and could cause heart problems.
The 3 Reasons
1. It can keep your skin healthy.
Just so you know, our skin and our whole body are made of water more than anything else. Drinking plenty can help keep your skin looking nice and without wrinkles. dehydration can cause your skin to become wrinkled and less desirable in the long term so drink plenty of it to keep hydrated.
2. It has electrolytes.
Not enough electrolytes in your body can cause you to feel fatigued or lethargic. It contains a good amount of electrolytes to help keep you on your feet and feeling well. This also helps when you’re about to exercise. Drinking before exercising will cause you to retain fluids when you sweat which keeps your system balanced.
3. Drinking water helps you breathe.
Believe it or not, your lungs lose about 1 to 2 pints a day just exhaling. Your lungs take in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide so they need to stay moist to work to their full potential. Regulating your fluid intake definitely helps keep it in check.
