Teen obesity – things to remember
Teenagers and adolescents reach the stage wherein they are very well concerned with their figure. Puberty starts it off until they reach full maturity. They can now understand how physical attributes completely affect their social acceptance and personal self-esteem.
As these ladies and gentlemen stand out from the crowd, they realize how good-looking and how ugly the person with the fit and lousy body figure is. Girls usually kill themselves with crash diet which eventually leads to failure. On the other hand, guys sweat out doing push ups which sometimes leads to muscle injury. The aggressive behavior of the adolescents doesn’t work most of the time. It’s either it leads to failure or possible harm.
If an adolescent feels that his nearing the obesity limit, he should remember the following suggestions.
Keep track of your behavior. The behavior of the person is the primary culprit of obesity. If you’re comfortable living with a sedentary lifestyle, the outcomes of which are hitting the unhealthy boundary. Teens should observe their behavior towards food preference, frequency in eating and nasty cravings. They should know what’s normal and enough because it will give them the idea when to stop. On the other side, boys are known to be hard-drinkers. The bad side of which is it could lead them to obesity, accidents and diseases. The behavior of the person should be the first thing to consider before taking a step in weight reduction. The change in behavior will necessarily mean that there is a change in lifestyle.
Avoid social pressure. Eating and drinking are social invitations we could hardly resist. Thus, if you wanted to lose weight and shed off your excess fats, you also need to avoid parties and food trips. It does not mean that you need to isolate yourself from the society rather the person only needs to choose wisely which event to attend. If you’re going to a party, remember you’re there to socialize and meet new friends and not to binge after the delicious meals and drinks. Be a party lover, not a food lover!
DIET plus EXERCISE, ENJOY! As much as teens enjoy the party, healthy lifestyle must also be a fun experience. They shouldn’t feel deprived of the things they wanted. MODERATION is the key to everything. Obesity and other conditions won’t pop out if everything is done in moderation. Self- control and temperance should be the attitude in dealing with obesity.
Diet should include your favorite food but only in minimal amount. It should focus on meals that will you gain the weight size you wanted. Likewise, exercise should be a pleasurable activity. If you’re sick with the environment in the gym, teens could try out dancing in their rooms or swimming in the luxurious pool. Broaden your horizons for there are so many things to enjoy while doing the diet and exercise regimen.
