People with eating disorder face problem, that they can’t control they needs and impulses, which is provided by external obstacles. People with the eating disorder usually do not sense a hunger and a satiety or they ignore it.
People with the eating disorder:
- eat not because of the hunger but for the other reasons (sadness, tiredness or loneliness etc.);
- lack of the link between body's need for the food and the hunger sense signals;
- desire for the food makes them unhappy;
- can’t eat suitable - usually eat chaotically and occasionally;
– mostly too much or not enough.
People with no eating disorder:
- realize needs of the body and its signals like hunger or satiety;
- using these signals decide to eat and how much eat;
- eat to avert a sense of hunger or to enjoy;
- eating is self-evident need to provide a body with necessary nutrients and liquid and it happens automatically like breathing or sleeping.
