Grapefruit diet is a 7-day diet for those who want to achieve an amazing results and to treat their bodies with a huge amount of vitamins. It is achievable if you’ll eat grapefruits regularly because of their richness with many important nutrients, also it is considered as a powerful tool in a battle with an extra weight.
Conditions of the diet:
do not eat after 7pm;
if you feel huge and uncomfortable hunger, you may drink a glass of juice or eat an apple or orange;
you may add 1 teaspoon of honey to your drink a day;
the best drink is green tea with lemon;
if you drink coffee then drink only ground coffee or espresso;
if you are hungry before the bedtime, you may eat only a grapefruit;
plan your meals for 5 hour periods;
do not use a salt;
do not use any sauces;
do not use a fat fish;
use only a lean meat.
1st day
Breakfast – grapefruit or it’s juice with no sugar, 2 slices of ham (25 grams each), coffee or tea with no sugar;
Lunch – grapefruit, 250 grams of salad (greens + any vegetables, except those which contain starch) with lemon juice, coffee or tea with no sugar;
Supper – boiled or grilled meat (raw weight – 150 grams), 200 grams of lettuce with lemon juice, tea with honey (1 tablespoon).
2nd day
Breakfast - grapefruit or it’s juice with no sugar, 2 boiled eggs, coffee or tea with no sugar;
Lunch – grapefruit, 50 grams of cheese (fat content 20-30%) or 150 grams of low fat cottage cheese;
Supper – 200 grams of boiled or grilled fish, big portion of salad from green vegetables with olive oil and lemon juice (1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of olive oil), 1 slice of wholemeal bread.
3rd day
Breakfast - grapefruit or it’s juice with no sugar, 2 spoons of oats or muesli with 1 spoon of raisins and a few grinded nuts (except peanuts) and 4 spoons low fat yoghurt or milk;
Lunch – grapefruit, cup of vegetable soup or stock with 2 toasts;
Supper – a half of grapefruit (straight before bedtime), 200 grams of boiled or grilled chicken, 2 fried tomatoes, tea.
4th day
Breakfast – glass of tomato juice, boiled egg, tea with lemon;
Lunch – grapefruit, big portion of salad made of carrots and green vegetables (cucumber, sweet pepper, celery, lettuce, broccoli etc.) with olive oil and lemon juice, slice of bread;
Supper – up to 400 grams of boiled or steamed any vegetables, except potatoes, tea;
Before bedtime - grapefruit or it’s juice with no sugar.
5th day
Breakfast – fruit salad (grapefruit, orange, apple), coffee or tea with lemon;
Lunch – roasted potatoe, 200 grams of cabbage or green vegetable salad;
Supper – 200 grams of beef steak of 250 grams of chicken or fish, grilled tomato or glass of tomato juice;
Before bedtime - grapefruit or it’s juice with no sugar.
6th and 7th days
